Day 03
We start a new day with a scenic walk along the lakefront of Riva del Garda towards Torbole, a charming village overlooking the lake. Here we will visit the historic centre and pass by the famous house that once hosted Goethe. From Torbole, we take a scenic path towards the Busatte Park.
A quick stop at the bar and then we’re off: the real show begins with the hike along the Busatte-Tempesta Trail, one of the most beautiful scenic routes on Lake Garda. The trail runs along a balcony overlooking the lake and takes us through woods, panoramic views and the famous 400 suspended iron steps attached to the rock, up to the village of Tempesta. From here, the bus will take us back to the hotel in 10 minutes. In the afternoon, for those who want to continue exploring, the guide suggests a ferry trip on Lake Garda to the charming village of Limone sul Garda, famous for its cycle and footpath suspended above the lake. An experience not to be missed before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Along the way, we will pass through the historic centre of Arco with its castle overlooking the valley, the Fies power station, a site of industrial archaeology that has been given a new lease of life thanks to contemporary art, and the lunar landscape of the Marocche di Dro, the largest landslide in the entire Alpine arc. Once we arrive at Lake Toblino, we will stop at the castle café. Before returning, a stop for a glass of local wine is a must at the Bike & Wine Bar in Dro, surrounded by vineyards. An easy return journey on a slight downhill slope and we are back in Riva!

Halfway along the route, we stop for lunch in Prè di Ledro, a village famous for the fact that the sun does not shine here for 86 days (from 11 November to 5 February) every year. After passing the villages of Ledro and Molina di Ledro, we reach Lake Ledro, an alpine lake 650 metres above sea level with incredible colours and famous for its pile dwellings. Here, before taking the bus back to Riva del Garda, there is time for an aperitif by the lake and, if we wish, a visit to the Pile Dwelling Museum.
